African American Male Image Awards

The Hobson-Goodlow Education Foundation and Tau Iota Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. will sponsor the 28th Annual African American Male Image Awards Scholarship Luncheon. The luncheon will be at noon on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Holiday Inn, University of Memphis.

Purpose

This luncheon aims to raise funds to support college-bound African American male high school seniors and recognize African American men in the Memphis community who exhibit a sense of Brotherhood for all humanity, have respect for Scholarship, and engage in Community Service. The Foundation honors African American men who excel in the areas of Business, Community Service, and Education and have made an impact in the Memphis community through their service and work endeavors. The HobsonGoodlow Foundation, Inc. and the Tau Iota Sigma Chapter have honored 135 African American males within the local community in the past 27 years and have contributed more than $100,000 toward educating young African American college-bound men.

$1,500 - $2,499: Brotherhood Level, benefits include:

• Recognition as Brotherhood Level sponsor in program book

• Full page ad in the program book

$2,500 - $4,999: Culture for Service Level, benefits include:

 

• Designated table of ten

• Full-page ad in program book

• Recognition as a Table Sponsor on the event webpage

• Company logo marker on table

• Recognition as a Table Sponsor during event

$5,000 - $9,999: Service for Humanity Level, benefits include:

​

• Designated table of ten (priority seating)

• Inside back cover within program book

• Listed as a Service for Humanity Level sponsor in program book

• Plaque presented during scholarship luncheon

• Recognition as a Service for Humanity Level sponsor on the event webpage

• Logo marker on table

• Name (no logo) recognition at the Service for Humanity Level on the Sigma Memphis website at https://www.sigmamemphis1914.org/

$10,000 +: Leader Level, benefits include:

​

• Designated table of ten (priority seating)

• Back cover ad of the program book

• Listed as a Leader Level sponsor in program book

• Plaque presented during scholarship luncheon

• Recognition as a Leader Level sponsor on the event webpage

• Logo marker on table

• Audio/visual recognition during event

• Name (no logo) recognition at the Service for Humanity Level on the SigmaMemphis website at https://www.sigmamemphis1914.org/

• Company logo/name and sponsorship recognition in all press releases, invitations, and website

Recognition

Five (5) high school seniors who exemplify the ideals of the Fraternity and demonstrate profound respect for Scholarship will receive a $ 1,500.00 scholarship. The Fraternity will also present the “Service for Humanity” Award. The award is given to someone who exemplifies the Fraternity’s motto, “Culture for Service and Service for Humanity," consistently exhibits integrity and ethical behavior, and values the worth and dignity of all humanity in their profession and community.
